POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, The Center for Biomedical Innovation (CBI), to join an academic team developing new processes for adventitious agent detection in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, with particular reference on coupling Oxford Nanopore sequencing with advanced microfluidics for improving separation of contaminants from cells or viral vector stocks. Will oversee the design and executing of experiments to develop and optimize spiking studies and detection protocols; analyze and characterize contaminants in culture samples using the Oxford Nanopore sequencer and microfluidic technologies; manage preparation and purification of virus and microbes for use in spiking studies; prepare, as needed revise, and submit scheduled technical progress reports;
