Graduate Research Assistantship
The Department of Crop and Soil Science at the Oregon State University (OSU) and USDA-ARS Forage Seed and Cereal Research Unit has a position available for a full-time graduate student (Masters or Ph.D.) in the Entomology Program. The research project will investigate the spatiotemporal distribution and environmental risk factors (climate and landscape) of the armyworm and cutworm species complex in primary grass seed crops grown in Western Oregon. Project goals are to understand the ecology and behavior of these insect pests and their associated parasitoids and develop decision support aids for integrated pest management (IPM) implementation.
