Responsibilities:The Veterinary Population Medicine Department in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota is seeking a postdoctoral associate to participate in research on virology, biodiversity, pathology, and genomics – in particular, the use of genomic tools to study key biological processes.  Work in the Schroeder lab continues to develop molecular tools to enhance virus detection and surveillance; secure and improve agricultural productivity through an improved understanding of the true impact of viruses in production systems. The successful candidate will work on an exciting LCCMR funded grant to investigate spillover of honey bee pathogens such as Deformed wing virus to native Bumblebees.
