Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Agricultural Pest Management/ Insect Ecology
The Department of Entomology at National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan is seeking a highly motivated scientist specializing in Agricultural Pest Managementor Insect Ecology. The successful candidate must meet the following criteria: 1) to possess a Ph.D. degree in entomology or a related field; 2) to demonstrate research expertise either in agricultural pest management or insect ecology; 3) to exhibit proficiency in both Chinese and English languages and ability to lecture in English; 4) for ‘Agricultural Pest Management,’ to offer courses (taught personally or jointly) in crop pest diagnosis and control; biological control; integrated pest management; and economic entomology; for ‘Insect Ecology,’ to offer courses (taught personally or jointly) in insect ecology; general biology (including lab); data analysis in experimental insect ecology; and big data analysis in insect diversity research; 5) deliver an oral presentation and conduct a lecture in English as part of the interview process.
