Post-Doctoral Associate – Entomologist/Applied Insect Ecologist
The successful applicant will study the biology, ecology and management of selected insect pests in vegetable cropping systems in New York. Research projects are expected to improve basic understanding of insect-plant interactions, insect dispersal and population ecology. Additional research will identify management strategies for vegetable insect pests that are less reliant on insecticide use, especially products harmful to beneficial insects including bees. This position requires collaboration with other entomologists, extension educators and vegetable growers.
