USDA Research Entomologist
The USDA-ARS Sugarbeet Research Unit in Fargo, ND is recruiting a Research Entomologist to contribute expertise on a research assignment focused on the development of innovative and integrative strategies and novel management tools that minimize economic losses from the sugarbeet root maggot and other insect pests that threaten U.S. sugarbeet production. The incumbent works independently but coordinates research activities with other scientists in the Management Unit and researchers at North Dakota State University and elsewhere as part of a national cooperative research program to improve sugarbeet production and develop basic information on insect biology and control mechanisms. This is an outstanding position with strong commodity support and collaboration potential
