State Apiary Inspector- Agricultural Research Technician
A full-time (35 hr/week) position at the Research Technician I level is available in the Department of Entomology, the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, as the State Apiary Inspector. The Apiary Inspector is responsible for examination of honeybees and apiaries for infections caused by parasites, bacteria, invasive insects, and other pathogens. The Apiary Inspector will also assist beekeepers in developing best practices for hive health, good neighbor relationships, and pollinator health and habitat. The position requires state outreach activities with in-state travel; applicants must have a valid driver's license.
