Postdoctoral Associate - Research Entomologist
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Invasive Insect Biocontrol and Behavior Laboratory, Maryland, is seeking a POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, (Research Entomologist) for a TWO-YEAR APPOINTMENT. Ph.D. in Entomology or a closely related field within the past 4 years is required. Salary is commensurate with experience ($82,764 - $107,590 per annum) plus benefits. Citizenship restrictions apply. The incumbent will conduct laboratory and field studies to evaluate various chemical compounds and natural products with the goal of developing more effective tick repellents and acaricides and creating a novel tick trap as part of an ‘attract-and-kill’ tick control system that can be used at various tick habitats for tick population suppression.
