Research Scientist
This research scientist position will direct the USDA-NIFA funded project GR130619, reporting to Dr. Andrew Michel. The duties include research on the impacts of flooding stress on soybean aphid biology and management which includes maintenance of laboratory colonies of various soybean aphid biotypes and performing laboratory bioassays and greenhouse experiments to quantify flooding impacts on soybean aphids and their natural enemies. The research scientist will prepare project reports and manuscripts, submit grant proposals for external funding, and advise undergraduate students and support personnel. The research scientist will also manage the funds and budget of the project and coordinate data generation and analysis and identification, and help secure and collaborate with Department
