Performs standard scientific techniques including cell culture and in vivo mouse procedures.
Designs and produces viral vectors (Retroviral and Lentiviral vectors, transposon vectors, and others).
Cultures and engineers primary T cells.
Performs and analyzes immunological assays.
Generates and monitors mouse tumor models.
Analyzes function of immune, stromal, and cancer cells in the tumor microenvironment.
Designs and construct plasmid vectors.
Generates recombinant vaccinia viral vectors.
Participates in clinical development (e.g. IND-enabling studies).
Produce and purifies recombinant proteins in bacterial, insect, and mammalian expression systems.
Performs high-throughput molecular screening assays and analyze data.
Performs gene and protein expression assays.
Assists collaborators in recombinant protein production.
Ensures the validity and reliability of data at all times.
Performs experiments and collects and analyzes data. Participates in the promotion of a research project.
May present work at scientific meetings.
Performs other related work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
One year experience in immunology and/or oncology laboratory research.
Preferred Competencies
Advanced knowledge in immunology and oncology.
Ability to perform primary immune cell culture from human and mice.
Ability to perform experiments using mouse tumor models.
Advanced knowledge and experience in basic molecular biology experiments.
Advanced knowledge and experience in recombinant protein production and purification.
Ability to design, perform, and analyze data for immunological experiments including animal experiments.
Strict adherence to regulatory rules (biosafety, animal welfares, and research ethics).
Knowledge of grant proposals.
