Position Summary: The Nielsen Fruit Entomology laboratory is seeking a Post Doctoral Associate who will be responsible for providing expertise on spotted lanternfly and codling moth. Research is expected to include studies on the phenology, behavior, and management of spotted lanternfly (SLF), a recent invasive species in NJ that is a particular threat to wine grapes, and codling moth biology and management. Studies will be conducted in both the laboratory and field. Behaviorally-based equipment including flight mills, EthoVision, as well y-tube bioassays with olfactory cues will be available for research efforts.
