Crop Characteristics, Inc. is a small business in business since 1989.  The Company rears and provides insects and insect eggs to researchers and Industry and at Universities.  The company does insect and disease resistance testing on alfalfa varieties.

The Entomologist filling this position will have the primary duty of rearing several populations of Corn rootworms.  In addition, This person will rear other insects as needed.  Also, this person will assist with the alfalfa resistance testing as needed.

The Entomologist filling the position will supervise 1-3 technicians.

There is an opportunity for advancement to a management position.

Master's in Entomology preferred.  Bachelor's degree in Entomology will be considered.

The person filling this position must be able to physically able to perform the duties of the job, which will include lifting items such as 50 pound bags of seed or soil.
