Entomology Biological Scientist (Technician)
One Biological Scientist position is available at the University of Florida Indian River Research and Education Center, Fort Pierce, Florida. The candidate will work full-time under the supervision of the Principal Investigator to assist in the execution of basic and applied research projects relating to the biological control of invasive arthropods in Florida. The successful candidate will organize and conduct field surveys of pests and beneficial insects, maintain plants in laboratory and greenhouse settings, and rear target pests and biological control agents. Problems encountered in laboratory colonization of target insects and biological control agents should be identified to develop improved rearing procedures.
