Phd assistantship - forest entomology/invasive species
This PhD assistantship will work to evaluate alternate methods of control for the invasive Asian longhorned beetle. Coursework will take place on campus at Clemson University and fieldwork will occur in Charleston Co., SC. Travel costs for fieldwork will be reimbursed, and tuition will be covered. A full 4 years of funding are available, and the selected candidate will have considerable opportunities to interact and network with state and federal agencies and officials. This position is open as soon as January 2023, with a preference to get it filled before May 2023. Dr. Dave Coyle (Clemson) will serve as primary supervisor, with Dr. Kelly Oten (NC State) as a co-advisor.
