The Department of Entomology at The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station (New Haven Campus) is seeking applicants for a full-time Nursery Inspector at the level of Agricultural Technician I. The primary responsibility of the position is to support all aspects of the Office of the State Entomologist, serving all Connecticut nurseries and other members of the Green Industry, as well as citizens of the State. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: inspection of nursery growing areas for pests and diseases, performing field level diagnosis of plant problems, recording and reporting results from inspections, participation in emergency response to new pests and diseases, and inspection of agricultural commodities for export.
