The New York University Abu Dhabi Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (NYUAD-CGSB) is a well established research cluster focused on the use of global or "systems" level approaches to address the organization and function of biological systems at multiple levels: cells, organisms, populations and ecosystems. The NYUAD-CGSB is seeking a Post-doctoral Associate to conduct research on adaptive evolution in invasive species, using the red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus) as a model system. The red palm weevil is a pest of the date palm and it has a negative effect on the cultivation of all species of palms across the globe.
