Postdoctoral Research Associate- Insect vector biology/Plant virology (2 positions)
Texas A&M AgriLife Research & Extension Center, Amarillo, TX invites applications for two postdoctoral research associate positions to conduct research in Entomology/Insect Vector Biology/Plant Pathology under the supervision of Dr Kiran Gadhave and Dr Charles Rush. The goal of both projects is to study transmission biology of two insect vectored diseases in wheat and tomato or pepper in the Texas High plains. Project (Position) 1: Transmission biology of two wheat curl mite transmitted pathogens of wheat: wheat streak mosaic virus (WSMV) and Triticum mosaic virus (TriMV) The selected candidate will independently lead the research project focused on (1) studying modes and mechanisms of WSMV & TriMV transmission by wheat curl mites and (2) evaluating the impact of single vs
