MS Position Bio-based Mulch Development for Organic Horticulture
One graduate research assistantship is available in the area of weed biology and ecology to pursue a M.S. in Plant Sciences at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND starting January 2022. As one facet of his or her research program, the graduate student will conduct field and greenhouse experiments to test various novel bio-based mulch materials for weed suppression in certified organic fruit and vegetable cropping systems. Mulch impacts on plant/insect interactions will also be assessed. Additional research topics may be pursued, depending on the interests and abilities of the student.
