Position Summary:The Smanski Lab at the University of Minnesota is seeking a postdoctoral associate with a focus in Synthetic Biology and Insect Biocontrol. The successful applicant will develop novel genetic strategies for population suppression in model and applied species. Our lab is focused on leveraging the latest technologies in DNA synthesis and assembly to engineer complex systems. We develop new solutions to meet decades-old problems in medicine, agriculture, and the environment. The successful applicant will join a diverse and interdisciplinary team of researchers tackling global problems.
