The Urban Entomology lab at Department of Entomology, Rutgers University has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct urban pest management research focusing on house mouse, bed bug, and cockroach in apartment buildings and in the laboratory. There will be opportunities to design, execute, and summarize bioassays for industry partners. The candidate is expected to supervise undergraduate and graduate students, present research findings in professional meetings, and publish results in peer-reviewed journals. Continuous employment will depend on funding and performance. Ideal candidate should have strong background in pest management, experimental design and statistical analysis and strong publication records. Familiar with Spanish is a plus. Proficiency in SAS or another programing language is desired. There will be frequent in-state travel to apartment buildings. The candidate needs to be able to communicate with residents and building staff effectively and may need to work for long hours in apartment buildings. Applicant must have a driver’s license.
