The Rockefeller University seeks a Laboratory Technician, Insect Social Evolution to join Insect Social Evolution. The Laboratory Technician will be a highly motivated individual that assists with maintaining ant colonies and general laboratory tasks. Responsibilities include preparing and cleaning plaster nests, feeding ants, following and overseeing ant standard operating procedures, keeping track of and replenishing laboratory supplies, and receiving deliveries.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills a must. Strong interest in insects, ants specifically, required. Experience in maintaining insects or other laboratory organisms preferred.
